Welcome To The World Of Online Associate Degrees – Information And Courses

Welcome To The World Of Online Associate Degrees – Information And Courses

When you think of a college education, you immediately think of bachelor degrees. The majority of society actually knows very little about the degree system and tend to band the options offered for post-high school education together. However, taking a bachelor is not the only option as a first rung on the ladder of high education. You can opt to take an associate degree online as an alternative to a bachelor degree. An online associate degree education differs very much from a bachelor degree in a number of key areas, and the purpose of this article is to show you that difference.

Associate degrees online are marked as two-year courses, which is markedly different to bachelor degrees because they are usually expected to last four years. However, it is possible to complete both degree programs in a much shorter period of time if you take them online and demonstrate paper hard work and dedication to your education. Taking an associate degree online can be useful if you are unsure of the direction that you want to take in life and are not set on one specific career path. In effect, getting an online associate degree education is the equivalent of taking a community college degree and can always be used as a foundation for a bachelor degree at a later date.

If you take a bachelor degree then you either earn the title of Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science. Associate degrees online work in exactly the same way. You can achieve an AA (Associate of Arts) or an AAS (Associate of Applied Sciences). Within these boundaries, the choice of online associate degree education is immense. There are thousands of associate degrees online just waiting for your application. They are all designed to provide a foundation in general education but provide specialization in a certain subject in your second year. Some of the best associate degrees online are listed below:

1. AA Liberal Arts – Saint Leo University Online

2. AA General Studies – University of Phoenix

3. AAS Criminal Justice Technology – ECPI College Of Technology

4. AA Early Childhood Education – Penn Foster Schools

5. Associate's Homeland Security – FMU Online

6. AAS PC Maintenance Technology – Penn Foster Schools

7. AAS Criminal Justice / Corrections – Kaplan University

8. AAS Health Information Technology – DeVry University

The eight courses listed above are just examples of the many associate degrees online and serve to highlight the choices available. There is something for everyone under the heading of associate of degree and all of the major colleges and universities offer them. All you have to do now is find the right one for you! …

Careers, Fulfilment, Jobs, Luck and Retirement

Careers, Fulfilment, Jobs, Luck and Retirement

Jobs are not just sources of the almighty dollar. They also make our lives worth living, especially if we enjoy them. That is the reason why some people are able to develop first-rate careers that earn them first-rate incomes and first-rate reputations. They are seen as highly-productive and are there coveted by other companies within the industry.

People should do their utmost while at their productive age. Whether we like it or not, there is a point where we reach our learning and productivity curves. Then, we lose our attractiveness to the industry. We lose the magic that was once able to move mountains. That is when we decide to retire.

Is retirement a wise option? Retirement is like an indefinite paid vacation. You get regularly paid a modest amount in pensions that can get you by. With your savings, you can tour around the world and splurge. Or you can start something worthwhile … working on something you really love to do.

Since love for our work, there are things that lie dormant mostly in our subconscious that really matter. These are dreams that germinated in our early days on earth. We would have loved to be and do just what that dream dictated. But as is almost always the case, resources and time would not allow us the "luxurious" indulgence. Retirement is the right time to revive these dreams and live the remaining days of our lives doing what we really would love doing.

Some people had these dreams in the form of visualizing themselves to be inventors. They love tinkering with electronic and mechanical devices or a fancy to reactions of boiling, mixing or shaking certain chemicals. That made them excel in chemistry, electronics, mathematics and physics in high school and in college. But they were all forgotten when they landed on sales careers, for instance, that dominated and fueled their productive lives.

Reviving the dream starts with groping in your subconscious trying to "feel" and locate that soul-gratifying dream. Some people could no longer "feel" it losing it altogether. Others have moderate success finding it but discover that something is missing and therefore no longer appealing to them. But there are the lucky ones who get to find the missing link and build new carers that are usually outstanding and serve to help or make humankind happy.

But a few belong to the luckiest breed of human beings who do not have to retire to live the perfect job and life. Examples of this group of perfectly completed individuals are Bill Gates and Steve Jobs. …

This Woman Is An Inspiration

This Woman Is An Inspiration

A few weeks ago, I was doing a bit of research online for an article that I was going to put together. I was going to write an article about how women are being conditioned to see themselves as victims.

During this time, I came across an article titled: ‘Victimhood narrative’ taught in schools fuels anxiety in young women, academic claims’. In this article, Dr Joanna Williams had been asked to share her views on one of the ways in which children are being indoctrinated at school.

Nailed It

I thought that what Joanna said made a lot of sense, and I soon came to the conclusion that this was someone who seemed like a balanced human being. I was also surprised that a publication had given her the chance to share her views.

The reason for this is that this was a woman who wasn’t willing to go along with the dominant cultural narrative, whereby all women are seen as victims and all men are seen as perpetrators. I came away thinking that this is someone who is far too sane to be given a platform like this.

Another Shock

I was also surprised to see that she was a lecturer in higher education at the University of Kent, with this being somewhere that is not too far from where I live. I ended up going onto her website to find out more about her work.

There were a number of articles that piqued my curiosity and I saw that she had also been on TV. After watching some of these videos, I got the impression that she was down to earth, mentally balanced, and approachable.

Three Books

There were also the books that she had written. The first one she wrote, ‘Consuming Higher Education: Why Learning Can’t be Bought’ came out in 2012; the second one, ‘Academic Freedom in an Age of Conformity: Confronting the Fear of Knowledge’ came out in 2016; and the third, ‘Women vs Feminism: Why We All Need Liberating from the Gender Wars’ came out in 2017.

A Number of Factors

Taking all this to account, along with my interest in current affairs, and the articles that I had written about free speech, amongst other things, I thought it would be great to meet her. Initially, I thought that the best way for this to happen would be to see if she had any talks coming up.

I soon changed my mind, though, and thought that I could see if she had the time to meet for a coffee. I didn’t think this was likely to happen as she clearly had a lot going on, but I soon came to see that I was wrong.

An interesting Interaction

When I met Joanna, it could see that how she came across in her writing and when she was on TV was a reflection of what she was like. Thus, the reason she came across as down to earth, authentic, and mentally balanced, was because that …

Livescribe Pulse SmartPen, an example of a smartpen-a pen that not only writes but also records the audio sessions and play them back when you need. Technically speaking, the pen captures the strokes or the movements of the pen with an infrared camera as you write. It comes with a special notebook which papers have dots on it that are barely visible. The papers of the notebook has special options on it like "play", "stop", "pause", "record" etc. They also have a calculator on them. The USP of this gadget – the way it synchronizes the notes with the audio. For instance, you would take down notes in the class with your special pen and notebook. College Football Predictions – South Florida Bulls Vs Cincinnati Bearcats

College Football Predictions – South Florida Bulls Vs Cincinnati Bearcats

We look to Cincinnati, Ohio Friday night as the South Florida Bulls travel north to take on Big East foe Cincinnati Bearcats. Cincinnati owns a 5-2 edge in the all-time series with USF and the Bearcats have won the past four meetings, including a 34-17 decision last season.

The South Florida Bulls have struggled mightily on offense all year. Quarterback B.J. Daniels has thrown 10 interceptions and turnovers have haunted this team in a big way. The Bulls average just 157 yards through the air each game, which puts them 107th in the nation in passing offense. South Florida has one of the worst offenses in the Big East.

The Cincinnati offense was slow to start but has really found a groove lately. QB Zach Collaros has thrown 17 TD’s to 3 INT’s. The Bearcats are averaging 30 points per game on the year. This is a balanced offense that is extremely dangerous.

South Florida relies heavily on defense. The Bulls are ranked in the top 20 defenses in the country in almost every single important statistic. They are giving up just 16.7 points per game so far this season. The Bearcats defense has been weak against the pass this year, but they have been stellar against the run. Cincinnati does a solid job keeping their opponent out of the end zone and minimizing the damage.

Cincinnati opened as 8 point home favorites in this match up. The line has been steady so far, with most books now showing the Bearcats as 7.5-point favorites. The posted total opened at 46 points. The public is betting heavily on the “over,” which has pushed the total up to 47.5 or 48, depending on the book.

Cincinnati has owned South Florida over the last few years. They have won four straight overall, and they are 6-0 ATS in their last six meetings with the Bulls. South Florida is just 1-4 ATS in their last five road games. Cincinnati is 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games overall. The ‘under’ is 4-0 in South Florida’s last four games.

The Bearcats are facing a tough defense this week but Collaros has enough weapons to score points. Cincinnati should be able to control both sides of the ball and prevail in this Big East match up.…

The Art & Science of Property Valuation – Automated Valuation Models

The Art & Science of Property Valuation – Automated Valuation Models

It is no secret that sellers want to sell high and buyers want to buy low. But they often arrive at the negotiating table with very different ideas on price. A fair and objective property valuation can help buyers and sellers find common ground and streamline the negotiating process.

In the end, the property is worth what a buyer is willing to pay. But to help both buyers and sellers achieve their goals, both should have a fair and objective estimate of property value. Unfortunately, even objective estimates are still estimated, and there is no way to insure 100% accuracy:

* Appraisals performed by a certified appraiser are not 100 percent accurate.

* CMA's (Comparable Market Analysis) and BPOs (Broker Price Opinions) performed by a licensed broker or agent are not 100 percent accurate.

* AVM (Automated Valuation Model) technology is not 100 percent accurate.

All these methods, when properly executed, can provide a good indication of value. Estimating value is a combination of art and science. Regardless of how scientific the approach, the actual sale price is subject to the unique variables of each property transaction: property condition, upgrades, current market conditions, circumstances of the sale and individual tastes.

For property owners, pricing is correctly a key to a successful sale. Under-pricing can result in a fast sale, but carries the risk of leaving money on the table. Sellers who price too high may find their properties lingering on the market, and statistics show that values can erode at a rate of about 1.5 percent per month. Longer sales also increase the likelihood of a "distressed sale" when sellers become frustrated or encounter difficult financial circumstances.

Likewise, buyers should avoid emotional purchases. Overpaying because of "falling in love" with a home is common. Homekeys' ValueKey Technology can help establish an objective, unemotional baseline for buyers and sellers so distressed sales and emotional purchases become the exception, not the rule.

The science of AVMs

To determine a good baseline value for a property, use Homekeys to search thousands of property records for comparable sales or "comps." Homekeys' ValueKey tool uses advanced statistical models and proprietary algorithms and formulas to find the best comparable properties available. In addition to property characteristics, the system evaluates how recent comparable sales are and how close properties are from the property being evaluated. Once a base property value estimate is determined, it's time to check active listings to see what similar properties are selling for. ValueKey searches both owner- and broker-offered active listings to find the most comparable properties available.

The art of AVMs

The art portion of estimating value begins with understanding how comparable sales and active listings compare to the property being evaluated. Since they are nearby, it's a good idea to drive by comparable sales and listed properties to see how they compare. To help you stay organized, you may want to use a buyer checklist when visiting properties.

After researching comparable sales and active listings, it's time for the personal touch. …

Will Confidence Help To Make New Friends In College?

Will Confidence Help To Make New Friends In College?

A while back, I was at a house party. I arrived with some friends. On the way to the house party we ran into another crew of people. The leader of that crew was very confident. He was louder than everyone, he kept egging on some of the guys in my crew just for the sake of causing drama. It was all in good fun. He put all of us into a good mood.

When we all got to the house, the party was not very exciting. Some people were dancing in a comatose fashion by themselves, one or two other people were "grinding", but that was it. Our crew of people were more excited to get to the party than the people who were in the party.

This confident guy I spoke about grabbed the cutest girl he could find. Dragged her to the dance floor, and immediately started "daggering" her. If you do not know what this is, it's a Jamaican dance move. Look it up on YouTube right now, and you'll understand exactly why everyone at the party immediately amped up their excitement by at least 1000%.

I was taken off my guard, (I rarely expect other guys to out do me at the party), so I was the second guy to grab a cute girl and we took the boring party, and turned it into one of the most electrifying bash I've seen in University.

When people are around someone with confidence, they feel relieved. It's like they have permission to do the things that they wanted to do in the first place. This is literally what people me when they say, "He was the life of the party." Without that confident guy, people would not feel like they had permission do have the fun that they were having.

People are silently looking to be lead, that's why when you have confidence, people follow you. There is a direct correlation between confidence and leadership. As the party went on, I noticed that EVERYONE in the room was looking at my confident friend. If he did something, that meant that they could too … However, while everyone was looking at my friend friend, he never noticed them, he only focused on himself. Confident people have the ability to forget outside circumstances and focus on only on themselves. They can do what the famous spiritual author Eckhart Tolle calls, "be present".

Being present, allows you to have that full confidence that other people admire you for. It is the opposite of being self conscious – or caring what other people think. Spiritual leaders have all sorts of weird esoteric methods for being present. I will teach you how, without getting to complicated.

Confidence and insecure are the opposite ends of the same spectrum. Do not try to get from one end to the other. This is too difficult. When you feel insecure at a party, just try to get to the half way point of the spectrum. That …

Kids Science Projects Can Warm Your Heart

Kids Science Projects Can Warm Your Heart

Everyone talks about the greenhouse effect and how our earth and its climate are having greenhouse type of effects. What does that mean? You can do a science project that will show this effect and what is happening to our Earth.

Go to your pantry and look for these items. If you do not have them you can go to your local store and get these items:

  • 2 glass containers that need to be the same size and shape
  • A 1 gallon plastic storage bag
  • 4 cups very cold water
  • Ice cubes

Fill each glass container with 2 cups of the cold water. Add ice cubes to each jar. You will want to put the exact same amount of ice cubes in each jar. I would suggest 6 ice cubes in each jar.

Put one of the jars in the plastic bag and seal it shut.

Put both containers in the sun together and let sit for at least an hour.

You are trying to create the greenhouse effect with the container in the plastic bag.

At the end of 1 hour or a little longer remove the jar from the plastic bag and immediately insert a thermometer to measure the temperature of the water.

After you record this temperature measure the degrees in the water that was not covered.

When you placed the jars in the direct sunlight the air inside the bag became very warm. When you have a greenhouse it lets light inside which allows the sun's energy and also heat. Since the filters in but can not escape because you have made a plastic barrier it stays in the enclosed area and increases the temperature. When you demonstrated the science project above you created your own greenhouse and showed how warm you could get the water. What if you left that for two, three or four hours?

Think about what is happening to the Earth. There are chemicals that are creating a type of plastic bag around the Earth and it causes our air to get warmer because of the energy of the sun creating heat and it being retained in this enclosed area.

Even though you did not heat the water to boiling think about your car in the hot summer. This is what happens when you go in to work and leave your car outside all closed up all day. When you return at 3pm the car is scorching hot. This greenhouse effect has caused your car to be so hot you sometimes can not even touch the steering wheel.

This science project is a great idea about what we are doing to our planet. …
