The new entrants in the field of information technology as well as the professionals of the field always try to attain as many certificates of IT as possible. Normally, they go for the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification, or they go for the Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) certificates. However, there is one hurry for the candidates in achieving these certifications. Most of these certificates require some form of experience as a pre-requisite for registration into the programs. As a result, a lot of people who are interested in these certifications do not apply for these certificates and the market becomes deprived of certain talent figures.
Another important point that wants attention is the behavior of other people towards those who wish to attain these certificates. Many times it happens that if a person wants to go for any of the Cisco certificates, many other people discourage him for doing so by saying that you would never be able to attain your desired certifications. Some days back, I witnessed a same incident. A newcomer wrote on a website that he wanted to go for CCNA certification. Within a small fraction of time, many comments were received that were all about his inexperience for doing so. Here, they discouraged him for doing this act.
After viewing these comments, I thought that those people were doing the wrong thing. All of us have to start from some beginners' point in every field of life. The same is true for the field of IT. Therefore, it is very wrong to discourage someone on the basis of inexperience. After all, all of us have no experience at the starting point of our career and I am saying so from my own experience. Even I have to work very hard during the beginning years of my career to attain a proper job and then to get promotions within my job.
In the field of IT, having a certification means having knowledge and this is a lifelong process ie you can always attain knowledge at any level of your career. If you are working in the field of Local Area Network side, do not stop yourself from attaining CCNA. If you are on WAN side, do not refrain yourself from MCSE certification. Similarly if you are a new comer in IT, go for A +, Network +, MCSE or CCNA. The point here is that never prevent yourself from attaining any of the IT certification only because you do not have experience. …
